Sewer line locating in Lafayette, IN
Find where your sewer lateral runs — before you dig
Your sewer line from the house to the street is usually a private line, so 811 will not mark it. We push our sewer camera down the line. A small transmitter on the camera, called a sonde, lets our Milwaukee locator follow it from the yard. Call for pricing — call or text (765) 551-7368.
Text SEWER LOCATE + the address to (765) 551-7368, email frank@welcomehomeimprovementllc.com, or send the quote form.

Call 811 first
Before you dig, call 811 or put in a request with Indiana 811 online. It is free, and they mark the public utility lines — gas, power, water, and others.
We do not replace 811. We find the private lines they do not mark, like your sewer lateral, septic system, and wire you ran to a garage or shed. Use both.
When it helps
Good times to find your sewer line
If you are about to dig in the yard, or you need to know where a problem is, it helps to know where the line actually goes.
Before a fence, deck, or tree
Keep posts and roots off the line.
Finding a problem spot
If the camera finds a break or a root mass, we can mark that spot on the ground.
Buying or selling
Buyers and realtors can know where the line runs and what shape it is in.
Landlords
Know where the line is before the next backup, not during it.

Short answers
Before you book
Do I still need to call 811?
Yes. Call 811 (or use Indiana 811 online) a few days before you dig. It is free, and they mark the public utility lines. We find the private lines they do not mark. Use both.
Will 811 mark my sewer line?
Usually not. The line from your house to the city main is often private. Call 811 anyway for the public lines, then call us for the sewer.
How much is sewer line locating?
Call for pricing. Tell us what you are trying to find and where, and we will give you a price before we come out.
Can you show me what is wrong with the line too?
Yes. The same camera that carries the sonde records the inside of the pipe. See our sewer camera scope page.
Do I need a cleanout?
A cleanout makes it easiest. If you are not sure you have one, call and we will talk through other ways in.
